Thomas Shaker, M.L.P.L. is a psychotherapist who has been a Oakland Psychological Clinic of Michigan for 16 years. He is a Master Level Psychologist.
He works with children and adults, ages 5 y/o and older, who are coping with chronic illness; depression, bipolar , anxiety, phobia, ADHD, emotional and substance addiction and trauma from illness and accident. He has skills in helping friends/partners and/ or family members which are experiencing life transitions and stresses. He skillfully works with people to cope with school and work issues, anger, grief, retirement and aging. His goal is to help his clients; cope, understand, respond and move forward.
His style is being a deep listener, with empathy for and with each person. Actively engaging with each person to support growth and challenge reluctance and fear.
When not working he is taking care of his home and family.
