Kim graduated from Western Michigan University with her Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology. She went on to obtain her Master’s degree From Oakland University in Counseling.
She has worked in various roles such as through the courts for Baby Court; helping families build attachment and stop the generational cycle of foster care. She’s worked in private practice and in the community, in the schools and home-based services.
Kim has experience working with clients ages 4-90 in the individual, couples and family settings. She has experience working with individuals who are dealing with depression, anxiety, trauma, grief, abuse, anger, parenting, relationship concerns including couple, marital and divorce, attachment disorder, emotional disturbance, Bipolar Disorder, Adjustment Disorders and self-esteem.
She uses an eclectic approach that is focused on the client’s specific concerns and goals for therapy. She believes that each client comes to therapy with a unique set of circumstances, experiences, emotions and strengths.
