Life is Uncertain

Have things changed in your life since you were a youngster? Of course, they have! We are not brand new anymore. We are a little used, and some of us more than others. We have been around the block a few times. What did you do to get here at this point in your life? Whatever you did, it worked because here you are, and it wasn’t a straight line either. There have been a lot of twists and turns in your life.

What were some fun things you did in your life? It is fun to remember the fun times, and you feel good when you do. If you can remember them, the memories are still active in your subconscious mind and available for recall into your conscious awareness.

What were some of the not-so-fun things that happened to you? It is not so much fun remembering them. You might even try not to remember them by pushing them away from your conscious awareness. However, to do that takes emotional energy, and at times, they still get triggered into your conscious awareness. If those negative memories pop up in your conscious mind, the memories are still active in your subconscious and can be triggered into the conscious awareness at any time. It’s not much fun when that happens.

Life is Fleeting, It’s Temporary, It’s ephemeral, and it’s constantly changing.

Life-changing events and decisions have brought you to where you are now. If you are in a good place, that’s great. If you feel life could be a little better for you, it can. But here’s the thing, you will have to change. The world outside of you won’t change for you. The good news is, you can change at any age.

You are here in the present moment. If you do not feel as happy as you would like, it is not because of the present moment. It’s because of what you’ve been dragging around with you into the present. It’s your memories of past experiences. It’s what you have been trying to push out of your awareness. It is what you haven’t made peace with from the past. At this point in your life, you may not remember them until they are triggered.

You may not have recognized it yet, but your past determines your present. You see the present through the eyes of the past. The lens through which you look will determine what you will see.

How successful have you been in Adjusting to the life you have?

There is an ancient saying, “Attitude is everything.” How is your attitude? If you have a lot of pain and suffering and resentments in your past, it will distort the lens through which you see your world. If you’ve had a lot of happiness, contentment, and well-being in your life, you will automatically have a much better attitude towards life in the present moment.

Your life is now in the present moment. The present is the way it is for you because of your memories. Reframe and heal your negative memories, and you bring into focus a new life and a new world for you. Change is always happening. Be resilient and flow with change, and it’ll make your mind and body happier.
